This is a podcast which picks up a few interesting things that have appeared in the news in recent weeks. In this episode we have something from the environment, world news and sport.

In the environment, we note that the IPCC (the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) has released a report which gives us around 12 years to do something to ensure that the world does not warm more than 1.5°C from pre-industrial times. You can read more about this story here:

 In world news, the longest sea bridge in the world has opened in China. This is an amazing engineering feat, and may have wonderful consequences in time. However, some people are not wholly supportive of the project. You can read more about this story here:

And in sport, the big news is that Dylan Shiel has transferred from Greater Western Sydney to Essendon. Shiel is an excellent player and just may be the difference between the Bombers playing good footy and winning the poremiership in 2019. You can read more about this exciting transfer here:
